Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A massive fire engulfed parts of the Jagatdal Anglo-India Jute Mill on Sunday morning, leading to significant destruction within the premises. Upon receiving reports of the blaze, a succession of four fire engines rushed to the scene to tackle the inferno. Despite ongoing efforts by the fire brigade, the flames have yet to be fully contained, posing a formidable challenge to extinguish.
Preliminary investigations into the cause of the fire suggest that it may have been triggered by an electrical short circuit. In response, authorities swiftly closed down operations at the entire mill site for safety reasons. However, the exact extent of the damage inflicted by the fire remains undetermined as assessments continue.
